
Remuneration: $18/hour for 35 hours a week. 8 week contract.
Position Details:
We have funding for a 2 month (8 weeks) contract starting May 5th, 2021 to June 30th, 2021. In this role, the main focus is to identify and connect with new individuals, community groups, and organizations to grow our online audience in the environmental sector in London. The Pollinator Pathways Communications Coordinator will help P3 with our marketing and communications outreach and grant writing. Work will be done remotely (due to COVID restrictions).
The Organization:
Pollinator Pathways Project (P3) mission is to promote London as a pollinator sanctuary and help provide everyone with the resources and knowledge to create their own garden. Our goal is to help the community to recognize the important role that pollinators play in our long-term food security. The London Environmental Network is supporting P3 with the supervision and hosting of this staff person.

The Details:
The Pollinator Pathways Communications Coordinator will be working on community engagement and outreach activities for P3. Due to Covid-19 limitations, we are looking to adapt our community engagement and outreach to be primarily digital. This includes managing engagement on social media platforms, and developing engaging content to grow our audience in the environmental sector in London.
Responsibilities of the Pollinator Pathways Communications Coordinator will include:

Supervision and Mentoring Plan:
The Pollinator Pathways Communications Coordinator will report directly to the Communications Director at Pollinator Pathways Project. Orientation to the London Environmental Network and the position will be provided at the beginning of the position and will include an overview of organizational structure, mandate, policies, procedures and properties. There is a team of volunteers with the organization that you will help manage with the Communications Director.
Project training and supervision will be provided by the Communications Director who will detail the specific goals, tasks and expectations of individual projects. The Pollinator Pathways Communications Coordinator will work independently for the most part with regular check-ins to be in contact on a semi-frequent basis while working remotely.
The Supervisor will meet with the Pollinator Pathways Communications Coordinator once per week to review progress on projects, update work plans accordingly, and discuss new ideas and challenges.
